CrownHacks is an in-person hackathon hosted by CAIR (Club for AI Research) at UNC Charlotte. Students from across the Carolinas are invited to come together for 40 hours of building, learning, and collaboration.

Whether you’re attending your first hackathon or have years of experience, CrownHacks is an opportunity to meet other students, explore new technologies, and turn your ideas into working projects.

Requirements

  • Each team must designate one member to submit the project on Devpost and add all other team members to the submission.

  • Projects must be created during the official CrownHacks hacking period. Any pre-existing code, components, or other work used in the project must be clearly disclosed.

  • Submissions must include a link to a public GitHub repository containing the project and a README with instructions for running it.

  • Teams should describe their project on Devpost, including the problem or inspiration, what the project does, how it was built, technologies used, challenges encountered, and what the team learned.

  • A working demonstration of the project is strongly encouraged during judging.

  • Teams must select the appropriate track on Devpost to be considered for those prizes.
